Short Synopsis
In the last days of a city, a group of people inhabits a deep excavation site left to its fate during the financial collapse. Every night, they emerge from the underworld and wander the streets looking for plastic among the wastes. Rosa and Samuel are lost in life, homeless, the group welcomes them, while Marcos arrives spreading the news of the End Times. Samuel finds the dead body of a foetus in a garbage bag, Rosa adopts it, it becomes her strength to find a new home, but the group rejects it and sets everything on fire, when sinks into its fears and superstitions.
The Story
DEVENIR is the story of Rosa and Samuel, a couple that left their place of origin in the search of an experience that would transform their lives. Going to a big city looking for the so-called progress of the modern life, they uprooted themselves, and the film starts when they lose their house in the outskirts of the city and struggle trying to find a new place where to live in.
So often people don't get what they want. So they end up in a makeshift camp, living with a group of people inside of a big excavation site, a big hole in the city center. The invisible is also an inhabited place, but it has its own rules: on daytime everybody sleeps, and during the night they walk the streets looking for garbage bags, they recycle, they make their living from the remains of the society, plastic is their currency.
DEVENIR is a story of our times, in which we are confronted to the social collapse in a desperate world. Rosa and Samuel arrive to the camp and we will see how the hospitality becomes hostility, when the group sinks into their fears and superstitions. But, there is something in this world that gives Rosa enough light to continue, to keep trying, because She can recognise in that small thing, the seed of the future She wants to fight for.

Sinopsis Corta
En los últimos días de una ciudad, un grupo de gente habita una excavación profunda que fue abandonada durante el colapso financiero. Cada noche emergen del subsuelo y recorren las calles buscando plástico entre los desperdicios. Rosa y Samuel van perdidos por ahí, sin hogar, el grupo los acoge, mientras que Marcos llega predicando sobre el final de los tiempos. Samuel encuentra el cadáver de un feto en una bolsa de basura, Rosa lo adopta, se convierte en su fuerza para fundar un nuevo hogar, pero el grupo lo rechaza y prende fuego a todo al hundirse en sus miedos y supersticiones.
La Historia
DEVENIR es la historia de Rosa y Samuel, una pareja que dejó su lugar de origen en busca de una experiencia de transformación, se desarraigaron, se fueron a una gran ciudad buscando el llamado progreso de la vida moderna, y esta película comienza cuando ellos pierden su casa en la periferia de la ciudad, y padecen tratando de encontrar un nuevo lugar en donde vivir.
A menudo la gente no obtiene lo que quiere, y ellos terminan viviendo en una invasión, junto a un grupo de personas habitan una excavación profunda, un gran hueco en el centro de la ciudad. Lo invisible de la ciudad es un mundo habitado, pero tiene sus propias reglas: durante el día todos duermen, y por las noches caminan las calles buscando bolsas de basura, ellos son recicladores, se ganan la vida con los desechos de la ciudad, el plástico es su divisa.
DEVENIR es una historia de nuestro tiempo, en la cual somos confrontados al colapso social en un mundo desesperado. Rosa y Samuel llegan al campamento y nosotros veremos cómo la hospitalidad se convierte en hostilidad, cuando el grupo se hunde en sus miedos y supersticiones. Pero en este mundo hay algo luminoso para Rosa, eso le da la luz que necesita para continuar, porque en esa pequeña cosa, ella puede reconocer la semilla de un futuro posible.
